TANKAR Gardencoffee: Organically grown at the source of the Nile

Only pay the coffee - not the marketing!

If you are buying our TANKAR-Coffee, than you don't pay for non-value marketing, counting accountants or busy secretaries. By buying TANKAR-Coffee you are ONLY and exclusively paying the farmers for YOUR TANKAR-Coffee.

Websites, Flyers, GPS-mapping, accounting, quality-control and the work of the Sustainability Manager is completely done by motivated international volunteers that don't receive money from TANKAR.

Therefore we want to thank two Volunteer Networks and many independent volunteers that shared our TANKAR-Coffee vision of a "High-Quality Gardencoffee" that is tracebale back to the sustainable small-scale farmer.

Our Sustainability Manager Phalis Kanyugi from Kenia is managing our Microcredit-offices and engagement in Sustainabale Community projects.

Our professional Accountant Arthur Byakagaba is coming from Uganda and doing a great work in ensuring financial sustainability and where to save unnecessary cost.

Joseph Ochuma from Kenia is our professional Agrarnomist-Volunteer and teaching our farmers how to keep the high TANKAR-quality in our organic garden farms.

Artefact Logo

Artefact is a German Volunteer-Network funded by the german government that supports us with young long-term volunteers from overseas.

Jonas Busch and Malin Kleuker were actively working toward the registration of our farmers into our “Traceability-Project”. Furthermore they started to offer microcredits for solar lamps and solar-home systems.

Jens Lübberstedt and Max Esser are currently involved with marketing, building this website and programming the traceable-program. They are ensuring that TANKAR-Coffee drinkers can not only taste, but also experience the Garden farms in Karagwe..

Last but not least we want to thank all the former short-term volunteers and university students for working on this great idea. These are Magdalena Prerrer, SalimSempera, John van Leenwarden, Richard Clarck, Joulia Hamonchi and Maximo Borja.
